"The chemical makeup of essential oils gives them a host of desirable pharmacological properties ranging from antibacterial, antiviral, and antispasmodic, to uses as diuretics (promoting production and excretion of urine), vasodilators (widening blood vessels), and vasoconstrictors (narrowing blood vessels). Essential oils act on the adrenals, ovaries, and the thyroid and can energize or pacify, detoxify, and facilitate the digestive process." Kurt Schnaubelt
What is aromatherapy massage?
Essential oils have been used in many civilisations as they are thought to be able to relive the effects of a variety of conditions. Massage stimulates the skin and encourages the body to heal itself and to release tension within the body. It can include the full body, facials, back, neck and shoulder massage. Clothes are removed but this is done in a way that ensures the dignity of the client throughout.
A typical treatment
A typical Aromatherapy massage session involves using a blend of essential oils that are rubbed into the skin during the massage. The essential oils will be determined by the consultation and the clients current health. The type of massage the client wants will be discussed during the consultation.
Treatment price
Treatments are £30 for an hour or £20 for 30 minutes
